Communication Therapy Associates (CTA) is a Speech-Language Pathology private practice in Northampton, MA. Located about a mile from I-91, we serve clients from all over western Massachusetts. We offer a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults who have communication difficulties.  The practice was founded in 2004 by two experienced Speech-Language Pathologists, in recognition of a growing need for more intensive and individualized services.

We offer evaluations, consultation, and therapy services for the following communication disorders for both children and adults:

• Social Communication, Social Thinking & Pragmatic Language

• Speech Articulation & Phonological Disorders (speech that is hard to understand)

• Language Delays & Disorders (difficulty understanding or processing spoken or written language)

• Reading & Literacy Problems

• Fluency Disorders (Stuttering)

• Voice Disorders

• Vocal Cord Dysfunction (A breathing problem that mimics asthma)

• Language and Cognitive Disorders after Stroke or Brain Injury

• LSVT to improve speech for people with Parkinson’s disease

We believe that therapy works best when we can meet the client “where they are”, teach in a low-key manner, and keep the therapy process fun. For children and adolescents, parental involvement is a crucial component of all of our programs, since children need to practice new skills regularly to make progress.
